To begin, I made the above chart and began listing my assumptions about each type of participant. Identifying my assumptions ahead of time creates greater self-awareness and allows me to compare my thinking with how users actually think. The goal is to achieve greater receptiveness to the input of users. These assumptions emerge from my intuition as I shift perspectives and start viewing the process from each user's point of view. As a result my assumptions are tested which strengthens my intuition over time. Research will always remain one of my top priorities. However, well developed intuition creates better assumptions and improves my understanding of people.
